The alteration of terrestrial, aquatic and marine environments will have drastic impacts upon wildlife and fishery resources. Habitat, disease and environmental changes will alter abundance, distribution and behavior of wildlife and fishery populations with severe social consequences.

Climate change will mean both the loss of habitat and the creation of new habitat. Will global climate change result in the loss of biodiversity and thus the ability to successfully adapt to change?

Melting Ice and thermal expansion are causing a gradual rise in sea levels, threatening millions. A sudden, catastrophic melt of the Greenland Ice Sheet, or Antarctic ice could result in a sea level increase of more than 20 feet (6m.) causing a world-wide disaster. Are we prepared, how do we cope?

Global Climate Change may be the cause of recently experienced increased violent weather events such as hurricanes, cyclones, and precipitation. The impact of extreme weather events can be far greater with they occur on top of increased sea levels, temperatures and other effects of Global Climate Change. Is our infrastructure adequately prepared to respond?
